While Cali is not a city packed with must-see sights, the Centro is attractive. The Río Cali runs through the Centro with exotic trees and cat statues on its banks. I stayed in San Antonio, a charming neighborhood of artists with Bohemian cafes, shops, and restaurants. After perusing the artwork and listening to music in Parque San Antonio, I climbed to the top of the hill to watch the sun set over Cali. Cali is the salsa capital on the world, so during the evening I watched the Columbian-style salsa dancing at the clubs. Columbian-style salsa has a Caribbean influence with quick and precise footwork and a steady upper-body.
