After three nights in Jericoacoara we reversed our route, heading back to Fortaleza before boarding an overnight bus to Natal. In the morning we boarded another bus, which took us on a scenic drive through sugar cane fields and small villages before we arrived in Prai de Pipa. Pipa is an enchanting town with an eclectic community of locals, world travelers, backpackers, and surfers. There’s an excellent variety of pousadas, restaurants, and bars featuring live music. Uncrowded sandy beaches sitting below high cliffs are a short walk on Pipa’s cobbled streets. Pipa’s beautiful beaches and low-key vibe make it an ideal destination for a beach holiday.
